Innovation and optimisation
The importance we attach to innovation is apparent, among other things, from the fact that we appointed an Innovation Programme Manager a few years back. This staff member works closely with the University of Amsterdam on research into the development of automated translation software. In that sense, we participate actively in activities of large international localization partners, united in the TAUS (Translation Automation Users Society) on the one hand, and via (international) conferences on the other. This year for example, we took part in Lokalization World 2008 and various TAUS workshops.
Concorde took the Concorde Extranet into use three years ago. It serves as a portal for our project registration system, via which our clients can upload and dowload both the source files to be translated and the translations, via a secure connection. They also have insight into the projects in hand and the agreed deadlines. Thus projects can be very accurately tracked and changes can be made to the lay-out and functionality in request. A password security system ensures that clients can only view their own projects and files
