Concorde Translation Framework

Together with an external partner in 2007, Concorde initiated a survey into improvement of the translation workflow at that time, with a view to:

• Reducing costs and turnover times
• Increasing the quality of translation assignments
• Reducing dependance on proprietary translation software

The primary target of the project was to develop a new and open technical infrastructure with which 'single source publishing' becomes possible. This allows a wide range of products to be created and published from one central database, for example a newsletter, report or brochure, a website or a press release.

The Concorde Translation Framework can also be deployed to form a ‘Continuous Workflow' , so that changes in the source material are automatically synchronised with the texts on which the translators work. And so translations can be supplied almost directly with the final source material, which means an enormous saving in turnover time.
